The power of event hashtags

For brands, everything is an event. New products, collaborations and obviously actual events all get the event treatment of press coverage and social posts. But are you using an event hashtag? Every brand has its usual hashtags that get copied and pasted, but events need a little something extra.
Participation
It is human nature to not want to be left out. So, by utilising an event-specific hashtag, people will feel more encouraged to post about the event themselves. That way, brands can benefit from user-generated content posted as well.
Discoverability
A hashtag that is different from the usual go-to hashtags means that event posts won’t get lost among all the others on social media. Your audience will find these posts more easily and therefore a lot quicker.
