Social media serves as an essential means of reaching and engaging with your target audience. However, merely having social media accounts and posting occasionally won't suffice. To be effective, you must develop a robust social media strategy that adheres to the seven Cs.

 

When you are creating a social media strategy there are some steps you should be following to ensure that it is optimised for success.  

 

  1. Community 

Understanding your audience is one of the most crucial components of your social media strategy. This will assist you in crafting messages that appeal to them and creating devoted followings and high-quality content.

 

  1. Content

The core component of your strategy is content. Make sure you provide content that is genuine, appropriate, varied, consistent and valuable.

 

  1. Curation

Sharing additional relevant content from other social media pages, groups, or postings is known as content curation. By expressing your distinct voice and viewpoint, it helps to raise your brand awareness.

 

  1. Creation

Content creation refers to making your own posts for your pages — this is the thing that will set you apart from your competitors. Make sure your posts are original, attention-grabbing and consistent with your style. 

 

  1. Connection

Building a relationship between your page and your followers should be a goal of your social media strategy. You can establish a relationship by using promotions, calls to action and by interacting with your followers.

 

  1. Conversation

Being effective on social media requires you to interact and converse with your followers. Be sure to ask them questions and reply to their comments.

 

  1. Conversion

Conversions are the aim of the majority of social media profiles. Therefore, make sure to utilise CTAs, use analytical tools to monitor conversions and try out various tactics.
