The different types of influencers

Influencers come in many different shapes and sizes, and they all serve a very important role in the social media ecosystem:
Mega-Influencers
They have one million followers on at least one social media platform and are usually celebrities.
Macro-Influencers
These are the most common influencers and mostly consist of B-grade celebs and industry experts, with a following between 500 000 and one million.
Micro-Influencers
They have between 10 000 and 50 000 followers on a single social platform, and are usually your everyday person that has built up their following with their specific insights.
Nano-Influencers
These have less than 1 000 followers and they have expertise in a niche field.
