What to Do If Your Social Media Post Goes Viral

A big part of social media management is hoping for and working towards that first viral post. However, it's not necessarily the viral post that changes the growth trajectory of your page, but rather how you respond to it.
Instead of simply leaving your viral post be and hoping that it rakes in a few hundred extra followers, take these four steps to lock in those gains:
Show Your Gratitude
Running a successful social media platform requires a lot of giving and very little taking. So, when a post performs really well, thank your audience for the engagement to encourage them to keep coming back to your page.
Learn From It
Yes, you can learn from more than mistakes! Evaluate what about this post is different from the rest of your content and apply the same tactics to future content.
Repurpose the Content
If your post performed well on one platform, repurpose it on other platforms by cross-posting. It might perform just as well or even better on other platforms!
Add On To It
Create content that relates to the viral post. Create a "Part 2" post or turn it into a series! This helps your audience associate your new posts with one that they already have a positive connotation to.
